Our purpose
In today’s interconnected world, universal challenges are becoming impossible to ignore. Solutions for clean water, reliable power, food, health, education, and the environment already exist. They are not reaching everyone who needs them.
The missing piece is coordination. Innovators lack a permanent institutional home. Governments and foundations lack a trusted way to find, vet, and finance what works. Pilots stall between the first introduction and the first deployment.

GSI / GSI-Fulbright Initiative
GSI-Fulbright connects the world’s scholars to the world’s most pressing problems, and to the technologies that already solve them.
The GSI-Fulbright Initiative is the only global network and system designed specifically to accelerate the deployment of proven problem-solving solutions to address global issues.
Mission
To accelerate the deployment of proven problem-solving technologies, for both developed and less developed countries, to address key resource shortages in energy, water, food, environment, health care, and education.
How the network is built
Sources and vets proven technologies, maintains the Global Registry, and trains the trainers. GSI aligns partners, financing, and channels into one system.
US universities partner with GSI-Fulbright and host training sessions for current Fulbright scholars studying in their region.
Scholars return to their home countries and form committees that consult with governments, communities, and solution developers to deploy technologies.
Operating concept
Current Fulbright scholars at neighboring universities are invited to the Regional Center.
GSI trainers give scholars a toolkit: everything needed to form and operate committees and sub-committees.
Scholars form GSI-Fulbright committees in their home country or region.
Committees connect proven solutions from the GSI-Fulbright database with local problems, and help deploy them.
